I was sucked in...
By Sven.
He was telling one and all this week that the lads were fired up and raring
to go in training this in prep for today's match !!!
and what happened ?
WTF ! Liverpool rested 5 players and still had something like 19 efforts on
goal to our 3 (approx)
I dunno anymore about this team ........Is 'Wank' right after all ?
Jimbo ;o( seriously pissed off)

listen to me jimbo..If fwank sacks Sven(which I agree is hasty) and lets ay
we get Sam allardyce,THEN I will be pissed of!
however if we got mouriniho and he was given a shit load of money,Then WHO
will be asking for there season ticket money back?
this is city and for the last 38 years of my life we have gone from 1 fuck
up to another,WHY should this be any different?
Can you honestly tell me that svens motivated anyone since xmas?

Re: I was sucked in...
Liverpool are a team that got into extra time of a Champions League
semi-final
and yesterday despite as you say, resting players, put Reina, Finnan,
Hyypia, Carragher
Mascherano, Kuyt, Babel ,Gerrard and Torres on the pitch from the start,
not a bad team and the result says it was a bit of brilliance from
Torres that separated the two teams.
It's not about Sven, it's about the talent/lack of in the squad he
inherited as well the performance of the players he had to hurriedly
bring in last July.

1st, I don't believe Fwank will cough up a shed load of money. Net spend
this year is £38m (according to Lee Dixon), which has got to be less than
the Sky money? Promotion to the Prem is worth £60m apparently.
2nd, what will happen if we get a new manager and he is indeed given a shit
load of cash? Well, what ALWAYS happens when a manager buys players? Some
work out, some don't. Mouriniho is no exception. So at the end of each
season they have to adjust the squad, which is exactly where we find
ourselves now. In other words, a new manager and shed loads of money will
simply put the clock back 1 year and at the end of next season we'll be back
where we are now. Then no doubt he'll get sacked too.
Almost without exception, the best performing clubs are the ones who stick
with their managers. We all agree that Allardyce is shyte, yet look what he
did for Bolton (EUFA cup FFS). And the Bolton fans were calling for his
blood in the early years, just like the Utd fans and Fergie when he started.
Why do we never learn from history? THAT'S the frustrating bit. There are no
quick fixes, apart from the imaginary ones.

Re: I was sucked in...
If we're lucky the new manager will not be involved in Euro 2008,
otherwise it'll be another rush to bring in new backroom staff and sign
the players he wants players before pre-season gets under way.
The chairman better have a real coup lined up, otherwise he's put the
club back a year for no good reason.

Well that rules out Scolari then, he's still manager of Portugal.

It should rule him out, but i fear it won't and we'll have another
season, as i viewed this season,of squad building.

Forget Mouriniho Goaty. The rumours in the papers, confirmed by Hince's
article in MEN, is that Fwank has been trying to set buying targets and
interfere with team selection. The bust up came when Sven refused to accept
this (the paper's allege Sven refused to spend his transfer kitty on that
fat lazy party animal called Ronaldinho). No manager worth having will
accept that, which basically means that a) Fwank will have to give up his
manager search and keep Sven or b) we're going to get a useless Fwank puppet
who'll just be in it for the money.

Yes. Apparently Fwank has persuaded Steve Daley to come out of retirement.

Phil Neal, Frank Clarke and the ghost of Alan Ball have all applied
for the vacant manager's position.
Oh joy, Steve Coppell could get sacked by Reading so he's in the frame
as well.

I may regret saying this, but I think with his "big name" fixation, Dr T is
very unlikely to go for the likes of Coppell or Allardyce.

If it's a big name he's after then expect to see a Thai manager next
season. They've got exceedingly big names.

In the very large multinational organisation where I used to work, there was
a Thai or Indonesian lady called Supaporn Umpaporn. Other favourites
include Alan Poo, Benny Wee, Elizabeth Cock, Robin Dikshit and my favourite,
Raquel Fuck.
Productive times I had after I'd handed in my resignation - all work and no
fannying around on the internal telephone directory at all, no.
