another global businessman who knows the price of everything and the value
of nothing.

Re: Dr Thaksin Shinawatra
Yep,
I do remember a couple of us in here just before he took over (myself
included) were questioning his credentials.
If Sven does go - who in their right mind would want to work for 'Frank' ?
The lack of clarity issued by the media men at Eastland's would seem to
confirm our worst fears.
And yet again - another summer of torment at City looks likely.

Re: Dr Thaksin Shinawatra
The guy probably spent the first few weeks of the season telling all his
cronies that we'd win the league - so now wants to be seen to 'solve the
problem'. He is showing his ruthless streak - and his lack of understanding
of how a successful club comes about.
Bad news all round.

Surely he *ought* to be persuaded by the fact that 100% of pundits, about
98% of fans and seemingly all his players think this is a wrong decision.
All that ought to suffice is for someone to stand him in front of the league
table and show just how much the top clubs have spent to get where they are
and just how long the managers of the second rung of clubs have been there.

I hope you all support Sven in this. It is totally disgusting. What you SO
obviously need, and have needed for some time, is stability. The swapping
out of managers with the dishwater has been part of the problem.
Sven came in late, relying on watching videos of some of the late
signings....most of which have been really good signings for you, and he
will do good on his word of a top ten finish. In the off-season with a few
bob to spend he would do an even better job of tweaking the squad. I really
believed he'd have got you in Europe next season.
As a Manc with 50/50 red and blue family members, I'd have been chuffed to
bits to see you break into top 4/champions league (especially if you took
Liverpool's place there). Alas, this 'Frank' fella is now looking like a
nightmare owner.
I hope you all let him know how you feel.....he might think twice - if it's
too late to save Sven, it might make him cautious of fan power in future and
actually give the next man a fighting chance. EVERYONE should get 2/3
seasons minimum to stamp their mark on a club in my book. It is a disgrace.

I was struck by his resemblance to someone else called Frank.

Re: Dr Thaksin Shinawatra
What would be fun is if the Team decided to 'roll over' on the Far East
tour. From kick off let the other team walk straight through to score.
Can you imagine the humiliation that Frank would suffer?
