ok forget yesterday
what team would YOU put out against the murderers next Sunday?

I say play Weiss he looked shit hot and not scared to have a go
also Williamson looked quick and(a little naive) ballsy

any other ideas?

Re: ok forget yesterday
Sven said on Friday that Dunnie should be available to go to Liverpool ,
so it's just a question of who plays at right-back. Stick with Elano,
play Sun there or give Logan a go seeing as he'd been brought back from
his loan.
I'd see how Logan trains this week and if he's looking like he's
improved, give him a go - sticking with Elano if not.
What's up with Hamann? If he's fit i'd drop Johnson and play him with
Gelson.
Ireland, Petrov, Benji and Vassell look like they're starting to
click. I'd stick with them and maybe put Weiss on the bench. Bojinov
played 80 mins for the reserves last week - bringing him off the bench
for 10-15 minutes at the end of Liverpool or Boro would give him, and
us, a boost.
Re Williamson, i'm disappointed the Sven decided to play Sun on his
wrong side rather than give him another go.

I would have played Williamson against Fulham, but Liverpool at Anfield are
a different deal. If Dunnie's fit then you've got to play Ball at left back.
I think I'd drop Johnson to the bench and play Elano in the centre with
Logan at right back. I'm not convinced about Benjani, he wasted a lot of
good chances against Fulham. I also think that Liverpool's back 4 will have
him off side for half the game.

Weiss looked shit hot, but would you play a 17 year old in a match like
that? Boro might be a better choice.

PS I'll cry if these rumours about Sven's job are true.

Re: ok forget yesterday
I'm dismayed that having started this ball rolling, even if he thought
he was just having a subtle dig at Sven, Frank has not done anything to
stop the rumours.
Frank's overplaying his hand if he thinks the loyalty of the fans to the
club means they'll stand by whilst he sacks Sven.
Whatever happens over the summer the fans will be chanting "Sven Goran
Eriksson" at the first home game next season.

What can we do, other than not turn up? Given that most match attendees are
seasoncard holders, paying for a match and then not turning up hurts you and
not the club.

I refused to buy this season's shirts because I had a dispute with the club,
but the only practical effect of that was to make me feel slightly better.

Re: ok forget yesterday
Just been talking to an Everton fan - here's a scenario I'd not thought
about. Makes the next 2 games even more important.

With Everton's run in, Villa will probably take 5th and the automatic UEFA
spot. Everton are above us in the fair play league so if England get a place
either automatically or through the draw they will take that.

Pompey haven't applied for the Intertoto so it looks like it's between us
and Blackburn for the one Intertoto place

HONESTLY YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT I THINK??

let the inbreds have it. we are far from ready for European football and I
fear the added distraction will make our league form worse than its been
this last few months.

2 more years of spending and building then we can plan out assault on Europe
