It's not City's fault. Portsmouth wouldn't let Benjami go until Defoe was
signed up + the stupid tw*t missed 2 planes according to MEN. Perhaps he
didn't want to go and f'd up deliberately?

benjani was in Manchester for his medical at around 2pm according to my
sources. and besides the player and his papers could have been signed as
they KNEW he would pass his medical.. me thinks there is more to this than
meets the eye

A player has to have a thorough medical. Just because he played only
24hrs previously doesn't mean that he hasn't got an underlying problem
that you'd like to know about and consider before you hand over the money.

The club's insurance insists that a medical exam is taken before any
signing. It isn't simply left up to the club.
