Its a reasonable comment that this is the case.
I think its that you are raised with an awareness of how not to be.
Then you protect that for the rest of your days.
On mediums such as usent and internet in general location and nationality
means very little, and this could be the start of world peace as we know it.
There is as much chance the poster you are replying to has posted from
Johannesburg as Birmingham. You just dont know, and thats the beauty of it.

Re: English
Apparently, indigenous who think they have Germanic ancestry but really
don't.
A few anglo-saxons came over from Denmark/Germany, and the brits here liked
their style, copied they way they lived and eventually started calling
themselves english. A myth grew up about the invaders pushing the indigenous
population into wales and cornwall, but the DNA says this didn't happen.
Most 'english' are not angle-ish at all, but are original 'british' stock (a
complication to this, is that the DNA shows that the Yorkshire lot are
apparently actually mostly separate invaders from denmark). It was when the
arsy normans arrived (being ex-vikings) that the trouble really started with
the welsh/irish.
Scousers are a mix of indigenous populations from the two main islands.
