Sure Kenny Norton beat Ali and was also cheated out of a win against
Ali. Maybe I was a bit hasty putting Shavers in but he was also robbed
against Ali. Foreman was not around long enough but the man I should
have put in was Larry Holmes.

Joe Louis
Muhammed Ali
Rocky Marciano
Jack Johnson
Jack Dempsey
Larry Holmes
Ken Norton
Gene Tunney
Joe Frazier
Mike Tyson

The Italians will have my bollocks for not putting Marciano in at
number 1. The Rock was a great fighter but he was not the best of them
all. But he went 49-0 unbeaten and won 6 Heavyweight title fight before
retiring. Louis was well past it when Rocky fought him and I don't
believe Rocky wanted the fight. "The Brockton Blockbuster" remained
good friends with Louis though. If you look at a clip of Rocky
fighting he comes forwards all the time he called his arm "Suzie Q" and
though he does not always connect to the head he wears down his
opponents by the blows he rains down on their arms and shoulders.

Pound for pound I will have to say Sugar Ray Robinson was the greatest
of the lot. Jake La Motta beat him once out of about 5 fights. In the
last fight Jake knew he could not win so he had alcohol filled in his
bottle and fought the fight drunk and stayed on his feet.

I remember as a kid a TV show that had what would happen
If Ali and Marciano fought each other it came out with Marciano
The winner, but in reality Ali was 5" taller than Marciano even though
He had a heart of a lion I don't think he could have got near Ali
In his prime, by that I mean before he went to Jail

I don't think he was sentenced. He had his titles taken away because he
refused to serve in the armed forces in Vietnam

doing a wickie
In 1964, Ali failed the U.S. Armed Forces qualifying test because his
writing and spelling skills were sub par

you and him would be friends Sumisdad

it says At the trial two months later, the jury, after only 21 minutes of
deliberation, found Ali guilty. The judge imposed the maximum sentence.
After a court of appeals upheld the conviction, the case went to the U.S.
Supreme Court.
