Mezzanine....great album to decorate your living room too.
Blue Lines is also a great album.
I dunno, I always thought myself that they were like a cross between early
Pink Floyd and The Prodigy....(with a mellow edge of the latter of course)
Good Stuff.

Seen Floyd 3 times but not seen the Prodigy yet.
Saw Floyd in '85 - Maine Road, and twice in '96 - Amsterdam Arena ( stoned
off my box! ) and Earls Court ( as I "missed" the Amsterdam Show- LOL )
Not seen Waters although I have seen the Bleeding Heart Band without him.
Andy Fairwether Low etc.... Poynton Folk Center 1990 with an audience of
about 250!

Palace Nightclub, Blackpool. A fucking top night! :-)
I'll never forget it, it was the best night out I've ever had, so far!
A Police raid at midnight, mob-handed, they hadn't even been on. The
place was packed out with the drug scene, a few scuffles and arrests made.
They came on after 1am coked to the eyeballs, what a gig.
Flint diving in, still singing, superb!
Best gig I've ever been to. I was totally wasted ;-)

*SNAP*! Great gig.

LOL, what were they like on their own?
Smallest gig I've been to was Roy Harper at Longridge Civic Hall, lol.
About 50 people. I'm not counting small venues like pubs in there.

They were great, very "bluesy" and not one floyd tune in sight.
I also saw Roy Harper at the Poynton Folk center too, Bill Paxton was the
support and again only about 250 people.
If you don't have it get "Jugular" on CD, Roy Harper and Jimmy Page, sort of
face off blues type stuff. One of the best albums in my collection.
Defo for the muso as some tracks may be a bit "far out" for the average
music lover.

Ah, Andy FL...I saw him as a guest 'artist' with Fairport Convention at
their Cropredy festival in '91. Standing bladdered in a field singing 'Wide
Eyed And Legless' seemed a perfect moment to me ;)
The last time I went to Glasto the Prodigy were on. The last time because it
was the second mudbath I'd been caught in and I'd had enough, but although
they're not to my taste (I'm an old fart) I wanted to hear them through a
big PA so I whiled away the time waiting for David Byrne and Morcheeba to
come on the Jazz stage watching the Prods who were quite good in fact. The
funniest thing was watching a crowded field of 'dance' fans knee deep in mud
unable to dance at all, just upright bodies swaying like a field of flowers
on a windy day!
