OT Premier Manager 08
Do anybody play the game Premier Manager 08. I have the game but have
not played it yet. Am I correct in thinking that there is no match to
be played ?

I have it. Great game but yes, no match played, just simulation. It's all
down to managerial skills and can get very addictive. Best to start in the
lower divisions and find your feet. There's so much to the game it takes a
while to get used to it. Training regimes, scouting players, finding
potential in your youth team, getting the right coaches for the style of
play you wish to undertake...etc....etc....etc...
You can download an editor for it although this can count as "cheating".
Although, winning every game 13-0 can get boring as my stepson found out.
I took Lanzarote to La Liga and am currently 7th in the league, having
managed them for 4 seasons. Only one season left on my contract and the
bored are getting fed up with my false promises of "winning the league".
Gonna take Stockport County to the Champions league final next ;-) , give me
4 months and I'll report back to you my progress.

Thanks for the information it sounds like it could be good fun. I look
forward to taking a lower league team to the top of the league and the
champions league final. Pretend I'm Brian Clough. :-)

I got his autobiography somewhere it is pretty good as well. He was
great entertainment when they had him on TV alongside Mick Channon as a
World Cup pundit.

I have mainly been playing Pro Evolution - master league and have taken
Sampdoria to the top of league 1 after winning the division 2 league
and cup. Will have to make it harder though, up a level.

I just watched all the Match of the 70s BBC series on youtube. Besides the
woeful defence in the old 1st division in the 70s the other amazing thing
was some of those interviews with him, fantastic, they should have made him
England manager for 78 & 82 campaigns.
