Far be it from me to disagree, but what is wrong with dave bassett? i don't 
think a better choice could have been had tbh, i've always been a fan of 
his, and i believe if rupert lowe had given him and wisey a chance at 
southampton and not given the job to his mate clive woodward they would be a 
premiership team by now, easily. bassett did wonders at wimbledon, a feat 
no-one else has ever done before or since.from the non-league to the first 
division in eight  seasons is remarkable, and then taking sheffield united 
up two divisions in successive seasons is also remarkable, yes, a better or 
more qualified assistant couldn't have been got and i welcome the cockney 
twat to elland road with open arms.
