Championeees!!! Oh way, Oh way, Oh way....
Could someone give me an etymological description please? I know where
Champions comes from....but "Championees!"....that's just not English! or
even Englishism!!! And the "Oh way, Oh way, Oh way" part....what's all that
about....??? "Oh Way" to where?

Like I say, I'm looking for the history of the words....feel free to join in
singing them instead if you aren't worried by the etymological issues... ;¬)

PS "Championees, Championees, Oh way, Oh way, Oh way!"

It was first sang by the French but they were singing about mushrooms.
It would be translated thusly:

Mushrooms,
Mushrooms,
Oh yes!
Oh yes!
Oh yes!
