depends on the size, anything over 42 inch and proably plasma

I have a samsung 46 inch LCD I was told the LCD last longer than plasmas

I've just made this decision and decided on LCD.  There are pros and cons 
(and many myths).  Best bet is join the AV forums.  Fantastic info and 
recommendations there.

I had decided on a LCD until I read this link.  LCD, seems to leave
ghostly images on moving  objects, I.E.   football but  LCDs less
likely to screen burn.  Looking at pro and cons I think LCD will be
the better option

That totally depends on the LCD. I have an LG LCD and it is perfect on 
moving images such as sport. No blurring whatsoever.
