1st half UEFA final
Just how many rangers players can be in the penalty area at one
time???????Im sure there were 15 at one point! ;-)
And they got lucky with Broadfoot not giving away a penalty!
Well as i thought, looks like it will be a dull defensive display as
usual,playing for penalties!

Wouldn't anyone go out and try to win a game like that?
I take back all the good thoughts I had before the kickoff.

They got what rightfully came to them in the end. Good attacking minded
football will ALWAYS outshine and outperform dull defensive "ten men behind
the ball because we can do fuck all with it when we have it" football.

For the handball? If that was a penalty then we should have had a penalty
for the exact same thing 2nd half.

Much as I dislike our style of play, you do know that Greece won the last
European Championships and it wasn't exactly pretty football? You do know
Arsenal were successful under George Graham and inspired the famous "1-0 to
the Arsenal" song? You do know Steaua Bucharest won the European Cup on
penalties after a 0-0 with Barcelona? You do know Red Star Belgrade bored
Marseille (think it was them) and did a Steaua to them in the European Cup
final (won on pens after a 0-0)?
Unfortunately great football does not always win, and when a club doesn't
have the attacking guns it has to find another way to win. One of the great
things about football is the unpredictability, unlike rugby where the bigger
better team more often than not triumphs.
The number of posts from Celtic fans on here gloating tonight is pathetic.
It'd be nice to have some decent proper football chat rather than the usual
nonsense. I'll start a new thread with some questions and points....

Do you remember alot of the posts after our euro final?Lets just say that
although one or two were sympathetic, the majority were in the GIRUY
style. That was fair enough as many were relieved for the same reason most
celtic fans were relieved....the fact we would never hear the end of it! ;-)

For the record, after Seville, my comments on here were that it was a
disgrace Derlei got MOM, it should have gone to Larsson or Deco, and that
giving it to Derlei was an embarrassment for UEFA.
Out of interest, who got MOM tonight? Personally I'd say our best player was
probably Davis or Ferguson, maybe Cueller.
