Howard Webb
Howard Webb is surely not the first Yorkshireman receive a torrid time
on the end of angry Poles, but surely his only crime is to actually
listen to a pre Tourney directive and take notice of it?

The infringement would have been given 100 times out of 100 had it been
the attacking team pulling shirts and dragging the opposing *defender*
down at a set piece, so what's the big deal about it being given the
other way for once?

It's because it is easy to blow the whistle and award something similar
to a goal kick, but harder to award result changing penalty. And that's
why they don't generally do it. And that's also why he'll just get the
three group games, and none of the important knock-out games which will
require a real deferential arse licker.

In praise of referees for once. Just the one though.

I thought it was an excellent decision. I really can't see the
problem the Poles have unless they've been playing to a
different set of rules all this time...like the Italians.

He seems to have missed most of the other pre Tourney directives though.
Under the influence of Platini, UEFA are trying to turn footie into a
non-contact sport. Rightly or wrongly, refs are supposed to award free
kicks for the slightest of nudges or pulls. Howard Webb refereed the
Poland match much like an English league match, with substantial
latitude given. The pundits all praised him because the result was
pretty similar to an English league match.

The penalty was one decision he did get right.

It wont last. She will get snagged on btnpierced.jpeg ... then she'll
be off to snuggle up in Ziegermann's towel.

Either that or she'll slowly deflate.

That's weird. I ended up back here after visiting the archive and
using the brilliant *random post* button. That reminded me of so many
good times that I decided to see what was going on. My first
impression is... fuck all... not even a sock puppet. Seems as though I

Sticking your fist up Mikey's arse is sooo 2003. Back then, he did
charge. 0 to 10 000 volts in 30 seconds. That was some evening... It
could have been the best evening of my life.

The only thing I don't like about the "random post" button is that it
sometimes throws up posts that aren't by me or Joe. I think there's
room for improvement there.

Tell me about it.

Imagine if you somehow did get yourself into just such a situation, but then
someone offered you a gizmo that would take away that pain, but then they
never made you the gizmo. That would hurt, wouldn't it? I suspect it would
lead pretty quickly to the death of the Archive.

Reading back through that, the words "it's my own fault" spring to mind but

You really mustn't encourage her, Andy. Vicky is now the leading
cause of the planet's overpopulation crisis. We've lost count of how
many babies she's had now. I think I'm the father of at least eleven
of them. Seven of them are Colligan's and at least a handful are
probably yours.

She's a machine.

That was the old me, Andy. Youksef is on Facebook now with,

AWTWP. I've fathered two of the little bastards myself, and I never even
slept with her. I think she used a turkey-baster or something. Everyone
in the newsgroup has fathered at least one Conlan now.

That's excluding Ben, obviously, but then, what isn't these days?
