10 years ago today...
I posted to Youksef (or ASSEUK as it was back then) for the very
first time.

May 17th 1998. I was 18 years old.

I only intended to stay for duration of France '98.

Fuck me sideways.

I can honestly say that it's very nearly been a pleasure.

Snip

This is a very common phenomena in froupdom Mikey, and it is known as
Hotel California Syndrome. You turn up with the intention of having a
laugh, emptying your sacs, and then moving on to something new.

We can check out any time we like, and then they'll find the miniatures
in the Mini Bar are all filled with cold tea. I've done that by the way.
Only kidding. But really, I did it.

The strange, unnervy feeling that one is being watched whilst having
sex. Possibly by a wanking ex-Premiership footballer.

You're not still alive. You're just not. You couldn't be.

At least it wasn't Applegate. Then we would definitely be in some
kind of weird mass hallucination thing again.

Ah, Mikey. I can honestly say that the 7 years I've spent in the team
bath with you, since the loss of my own UKSF virginity in July 2001,
have been the happiest 7 years in a bath in my life.
