Anyone boycotting the "Anyone boycotting the London Olympics?"
Thread?
When it first began, we were jubilant that UKSF had won the rights to
such a prestigious thread, and that the eyes of the world would be
upon us. Especially poignant was the fact that we had pipped
'fr.sport.football.garlic' at the post, to claim this valued prize.
We even had Screamingwitch develop our very own official ASCII 'Anyone
boycotting the London Olympics?" logo, which was warmly and widely
received, both by Ben's arses and by the public. The logo did however
cause an immediate slump in the US housing market and was blamed for
an outbreak of German Measles in the Hednesford region. It's fairly
obvious why, when seen below.

However, the initial enthusiasm for the thread has waned somewhat, and
now we are left with the most half-arsed discussion in usenet history.
In some cases, people are arguing against each other with the same
viewpoint. Youksef stalwart, and occasional gay, nigel, seems to be
unwittingly embroiled in the quagmire, and may find his place in the
UKSF XI at risk.
So now I'm taked a stand, and want to reclaim this froup by exiling
this thread to where it belongs,
alt.flonk.alt.alien.vampire.flonk.flonk.flonk.barrack.obama.
Us taxpayers have wasted too much money on this mockery of usenet, so
say it loud and say it proud:

As always (apart from you probably being pleased that Everton won at the
weekend), TMAK, you're right. Obviously, I was boycotting the London
Olympics, having informed the BAO that I was refusing to compete for any
of the events on the grounds that I was clearly ace and shouldn't be
forced to qualify, but I didn't feel it necessary to start, or join,
such a manifestly shit thread.
So yes, I call on all right-minded youksefers, and gay nigel, to boycott
the 'Anyone boycotting the London Olympics?' thread and then, for good
measure, to boycott this thread as well.
Kully, of course, can continue to boycott all of the threads, the soft
bastard.

That was the point at which your place became more at risk.

Well done Sid, I know you've been constipated for a while. Now that
you've rid yourself of that dense baguette of human excreta, you'll
feel a lot better on your many long haul flights.

Well done, Vlad and Peter Godfrey, too. Excellent work, guys.
We could all learn a lesson from your dignified, principled stance.

I think OscarG's boycotting was extremely erotic. And powerful. Not to
mention erotic.
