African Cup of Nations
BBC2 are giving some decent coverage each night. The in-game camera work
is great, and presumably handled by an African team. This clarity isn't
good enough for the BBC though, so when showing the highlights from the
previous day they apply their extensive suite of "Dog's Dinner"
enhancements :
Speed it up slightly, but drop the frame rate.
Bleach the colours and use close shots from behind the goal panning
violently from side to side.
Finally, because the footage is a whole 24 hours old they add some fake
film scratch rain.
I can feel one of my regular "why, oh why" letters to Points Of View
coming on.

I could quite happily live without the BBC. We live in the only
country in the world we we have to pay to be indoctrinated.
