We're off to a great start
Does anyone else think our first game in charge of Newcastle really could
not have gone better? It's given me great hope. I asked Cacapa some fairly
searching philosophical questions yesterday, just to test the water like,
and he clearly spent the entire game thinking about them. Then afterwards,
he ran up to me excitedly and shouted "it is when you get something that is
dirty and make it not dirty anymore!! I understand!"
"No", I replied, "that's cleaning. The question was, what is _meaning_.
Nice try though". So yeah, a bit rubbishcunt, but the fact that he had a
go, especially when less committed players might have been more concerned
with trying to play well against Man Utd, was fairly heartening.
And then you've got Alan Smith, who got himself sent off right at the end
for being a persistently annoying and detestable little git like what he
always is. But skilled lipreaders have told me that he called the ref 'a
baby cunt-biting anal vanilla ramtwig'. Not his own words, of course, but a
marked progression from the kind of mindless Neanderthal abuse he'd usually
go for.
I wasn't too keen on Nigel Piercing's post-match comments, though, all very
negative and unhelpful. I think we should look to replace him as soon as
possible, but apart from that, good work everyone. We've an absolute
mountain to climb with this bunch of horrible cunts but I think we showed
today that we're up to the task.

AWTWP. It's not uncommon for a new manager to have a galvanising
effect on a team but really, we outdid ourselves yesterday. Understandably,
it took the players 45 minutes to get used to our ideas and tactics but as
soon as they realised that football is essentially quite meaningless when
compared with other, weightier subjects, they truly did us proud.
I spoke to Mike Ashley this morning and he was still on a massive high.
"If I had left Big Sam in charge, Mikey", he said, "we'd probably have
lost 2-0 or something and the players wouldn't have learned a thing about
philosophy and the ancient art of origami... and that would have been a
waste."
Now, there's a documentary about the origins of the universe on The
History Channel the Saturday after next that I'd quite like the players
to watch but it clashes with the FA Cup 4th Round. So, let's put all
out energies and tactial acumen into getting a good result against Stoke
on Wednesday night. 0-4 should just about do it.
