Sunday telegraph

27 7 2008

Letter published

A foreign field

The extraordinary decision to select Darren Pattinson to play cricket
for England meant that the team that lost to South Africa last week had
three players who came to Britain as adults: Pattinson, Tim Ambrose and
Kevin Pietersen, a South African and two Australians.

How can the captain stand up in the dressing room and say: "Let's go out
and do it for England"?

Probably the same way that WW2 commanders asked 'foreign' guys to go
over the top to smash facist scum, like yourself.

The allied propaganda machine ensured there was a rich source of brave
but gullible men to go off to "save" the Poles, Czechs, White Russians
etc from the beastly Germans. Immediately after they had "won" the
war (partly by committing the most horrendous war crimes known to man
- think Dresden, Hiroshima, Nagasaki where they murdered millions of
innocent non-combatants), said Poles, Czechs etc. were promptly handed
over to the communists for ritual slaughter and enslavement for many
decades to come.

The so-called "fascist scum" that you mistakenly refer to would have
produced a much better world than today's should they have prevailed,
but of course no history book is allowed to even contemplate this
possibility, and in some countries discussion of the subject is
banned outright - Ask yourself why, then think for yourself rather
than trot out the same old propaganda time after time.
