A pointless request, mike, because if you blog cannot draw readers on
its own merits, a temporary bogus surge will not be sustained. RH

In light of the rhapsodic response that his last link received, it is in
no way inapposite to proffer another.
> r u that desperate ?
Must you be so petty? For one thing, Holmanculus has been here long
enough to earn a speck of leeway; for another, he is never anything less
than readable; and, for one more, he does not fall into the
one-trick-pony category perennially occupied by the execrable Mr Puthran.
I for one appreciate his linking me to his blog, given that I would
otherwise have to fish through an increasingly lacklustre /Cricinfo/ to
reach it.

The gadfly who did naught but post links to the trite reports on his
(non-Cricinfo-approved) blog.

Don't you think Mike's blog will be similar in tone to his rsc posts?
I found the first one quite amusing with it's tongue in cheek tribal
chest-beating and schoolboy-ish delight in getting the better of the
traditional arch-enemy.

Yet it lacks some of Mike's acerbic remarks one finds in his posts
on RSC. Also since this is a Cricinfo approved blog, one won't find
Mike referring to Pollock as "Bollocks", for instance. He will
resort
to a degree of self-censorship in his blog.

True. Unfortunately. On both counts.

You don't think I self-censor *everything* I write? Or that I take
into account the degree of familiarity with my overall view that I can
count on from any particular audience? I wouldn't have referred to
Pollock as Bollocks when I was an rsc noob either.
On the other hand, I can see that I shall have to improve my clarity
if SD-M reckons I was tongue in cheek about Middx beating Essex.

Mike

I get your point of view. Also, in your first blog post, your views
on
T20 cricket were pretty similar to the sentiments that you
espouse on RSC.

I think it was pretty clear that you're a big Middlesex fan from
your first blog posting.
