Scott Borthwick
Well played young Scott Borthwick last night - in a game where the
rest of his team's bowlers went at over 8-an-over (Shaun Pollock
included) he picked up 3-23 from his 4 overs on his debut for Durham
at the age of 18.

Seemed to have plenty of flight (and dip) and a good enough length to
be awkward to get away. It was his first visit to Old Trafford !

Looking through the county second eleven annual for 2008 every county
except for Glamorgan and Worcester have at least one LBG bowler on
their books. RH

He was the only spinner I saw to get some turn out of the pitch. Also a good
sign that he didn't seemed bothered by having to bowl the last over.
