Well played young Scott Borthwick last night - in a game where the rest of his team's bowlers went at over 8-an-over (Shaun Pollock included) he picked up 3-23 from his 4 overs on his debut for Durham at the age of 18. Seemed to have plenty of flight (and dip) and a good enough length to be awkward to get away. It was his first visit to Old Trafford ! Richard

It was his first visit to Old Trafford ! > He was the only spinner I saw to get some turn out of the pitch. Also a good sign that he didn't seemed bothered by having to bowl the last over. -- Graham P Davis, Bracknell, Berks., UK. E-mail: newsman, not newsboy.
