I would have great hesitation in including CB Fry in a list of great
men. Iain Wilton's majestic biography makes it clear that Fry was a
hypocrite and rather unpleasant to know, as well as adept at claiming
credit for other buggers' efforts. Taken all in all, his career
average in humanity may have been Test class, but he's nowhere near
being an ATG.
