NASN & Setanta
I've been away for a few days but have heard that Setanta and NASN are being
broadcast as one package from 1st Feb. Has anyone else heard anything about
this ? What's the impact on anyone who subscribes to both ? The respective
websites don't mention anything at the moment.
cheers,
T

As far as I'm aware Setanta are the company behind NASN.
If they start diluting NASN with Scottish football or Gaelic sports I'll be
wanting a HUGE reduction in my subscription!!!!

That won't happen - both channels will keep their separate identities, it's
the pricing of the package for both channels that is suppose to be changing.

No - as far as I understand it, and it's not very clear yet is that if you
subscribe to Setanta you get NASN free, but not the other way around. Oh,
and BTW, some of the Scottish Football is quite good.......

You're entitled to your own opinion - but it's hardly an objective view is
it ?

Two good teams in one country hardly is enough to say they produce good
football. A number of my Scottish friends detest the football. If it was
so great Sky would have it and not Setanta.
Anyway back to the point in hand any news on NASN and Setanta?

There are a couple of interesting threads going in the digitalspy
forums on this.
It looks like, as of now, anyone with Setanta channels is now getting
NASN as well.
NASN subscribers, however, will also be given the setanta channels,
but suffer an increase in monthly subscription from March, and no
option to have NASN without the other setanta channels.

Spot on. I just phoned and NASN subscribers are stuck with an increase and
these bloody stupid Setanta channels. NASN say its tough and they are not
breaching our contracts but IMPROVING them. ANyone in a twelve month
contract is stuck end of story.

Hmmm. I'd heard some time ago Setanta were in financial trouble. Wonder if
this is their solution?!?!

Re: NASN & Setanta
I've already compained about it and asked them to cancel my NASN
subscription.
Why the hell should I have to subsidise 5 extra channels i'm never
gonna watch. It's really pissed me off as I love NASN, but sometimes
you just can't let these things go.
