Re your 2 above design ideas for disaster shelters

Both sound ideal, and by mass production the costs could be reduced by
many fold for fast cheap installation , it may not be necessary to
include earth quake in some shelters but flood , tsunami , avalanche
in others

I myself always design my home and work with potential disaster as
part of the original set up, with emergency exit and food and first
aid and camping gear at hand at all times

sadly in the capitalist system they build the cheapest thing they can
sell to the first mug they can suck in at the maximum problem

the fires are not the problem

its the low IQ of the buyers in many cases, poverty in others , , and
greedy developers and or slack regulation in others

perhaps it is best to look at each site, and design a shelter for each
site ,and customers needs, and a safety/ survival area can be
incorporated into the design of each home and each community

I suspect a low cost bubble as in your first idea that could be flown
in or built on site maybe a viable low cost option in MANY cases
though , a few thousand dollars to shelter a family for an hour may be
commercially viable and effective as a last resort if / when ALL plans
fail , bolt for the TURCAUD survival module

Inside it you are guaranteed to survive for one hour , would sell and
add value to property in fire prone areas

Have you thought about using air bubbles in the concrete to lower
costs and weight while increasing heat proofing ? and using a kaolin
clay instead on standard concrete , like an old fashioned bush oven in
reverse

Some years ago I experimented with making styrene foam igloo home
shelter with simply pouring liquid styrene over a dome tent then spray
concrete over the foam , functional but not salable at the time

If its keept tojust a shelter foran hour as a survival bubble it could
easily be mass produced

but a safty room inside the home may be cheaper and even better if it
was designed well , some homes could be modified to soon be safe as a
survival bubble room , perhaps the bath room or laundry already are
and the owners only need education toNOT PANICK

Fire protection of the home is possible if the owner wants to learn
how to the advise is available NOW and its not rocket science nor that
expensive

People whohave survived several fires do soon learn
pity the experts and the sheeple dont listen to those who have
survivedmany fires for many centuries

No Aboriginal ever burnt to death in a bush fire , before white man
came and pretended to be an expert

White EXPERTS with a million dollars and every modern survival tool
available , soon die , with aboriginal children people watching them
and offering advice

white people will listen or die , then we can save the country once
they are dead or educated

DIY building a wood oven can be simple or complex, depending on what
you would like to build. You can tend towards the simple side at first
for testing the cooking or build proper oven right from start. First
wood burning oven may even be built using cleaned old solid red clay
building bricks, one can get them for free or build such oven for less
than 150 bucks. But proper and lasting oven can be completed from
around 750 bucks total very easily if you apply my single-simple-idea
but logical one for the material gathering (well even 650.) We always
do it as it'$ worthy! There is then a beauty saving generated for
landscaping expenses and furniture if it's needed. Otherwise if no a
special/expensive decorative material was used the total cost can
reach 1500 easily. I placed here detailed workshop plans on cds full
of information for building a few oven designs: simple ones and more
advanced, tutorials, and complete instructions on diy and building
your own chef cook wood ovens. Here is a first one: a good quality
wood burning brick oven. I am working on it while building and taking
pictures of each stage as in my other tutorials here in this
traditionaloven.com site. Here is a next oven I call Masterly wood
oven ® with a nice brick decorations technique for people who never
laid a brick before will find this very easy way (oven has special
firebrick part) - its outside walls are calling for imperfections
visually effective - even for experienced bricklayers. The oven has
revolutionary dome design I put immense work into- structurally high
quality, spacious, easy to form into any desired size but in contrast
nearly no need for cutting firebricks!

If you'd like to own an oven like the one mentioned above or any other
size or shape, but have no time to build by your self, make an offer
and we can consult further.
I will be delighted to hear any wood oven building suggestions that
you may have.

Thank you and enjoy.
