you know that fellow obarmy...the one who is going to fix washington?
sweetheart deals
Various Democrats were involved in sweetheart deals on large
mortgages.
Obama received heavy assistance with his house purchase from convicted
felon Rezko. Obama also received a $1.32 million loan from Northern
Trust at a special, lowered rate.
Democrat senator Christopher Dodd, chairman of the Banking Committee,
gained special rates from Countrywide.
Democrat Kent Conrad, chairman of the Budget Committee and member of
the Finance Committee, was another beneficiary of Countrywide.
James A. Johnson was forced to resign as head of Obamas
Vice-Presidential Search Committee when his sweetheart deal with
Countrywide was exposed.
Strangely, Obama still sails on, ludicrously claiming to be the
candidate to bring change to Washington. There were more of these
loans made to relevant politicians by Countrywide, who as a group
became known as "Friends of Angelo" [Angelo Mozilo].
It is illegal for Federal employees to receive gifts due to their
official positions. This includes loan terms not usually available to
the general public. sweetheart deals

You should check out the colossal amounts of pork Palin's kept flowing into
her home state.
The sums are eye-watering. A private bank loan of 1.3 million is nothing
compared to the theft of hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars in Alaska.
Alaska's essentially a European welfare state.
A third of all workers are federal employees! That's worse than the UK under
Labour!
The state sucks up more money per head than anywhere else in the US.

Chickenfeed compared to what goes on in Alaska under Palin.

oh no....not earmarks!
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/04/15/obama.earmarks/index.html
"Last year Sen. Barack Obama, submitted a laundry list of federal
funding requests, known as earmarks, to the Senate Appropriations
Committee: 112 earmarks totaling more than $330 million in taxpayer
funds."
...
or perhaps you'd prefer
http://washingtontimes.com/news/2008/sep/11/obama-museum-earmarks-draw-fire/
"Mr. Obama has twice since fiscal 2006 sought to have taxpayers foot
the bill for a new theater projector and other equipment at the Adler
Planetarium on the Lake Michigan waterfront. Neither of the requests,
which totaled $3.3 million, was approved by Congress, the museum said.
The planetarium's chairman, then and still, is Frank Clark, chief
executive of ComEd, a unit of Chicago-based Exelon Energy. He has
pledged to raise more than $200,000 for Mr. Obama's run for the White
House."
ps, obarmy thanks you for your enthusiastic and strenuous support...
