You are absolutely right. It does not contradict the numbers you
cited, but it puts them into perspective.

And the perspective does not show them to be decreasing, as you claimed.

Once again, absolutely right the gross numbers are not decreasing, the
numbers per 100,000 (as a proportion of the total population) are
decreasing.

Didn't claim that, did claim that the numbers as a percentage of the

You wrote
"The bottom line is, there are more guns available in the U.S. every
year and there are fewer murders with guns every year."
It is still towards the top of this post.
"...fewer murders with guns every year" - nothing about population or
percentages.
> Are you always this confused?
You are welcome to show me that I have misread attributions or that someone
else forged your post , but the
claim about "fewer murders with guns" made doesn't seem confusing to me - it
is a claim about numbers.
Why do think attributing it to you shows that I am confused?

Ah, it was me who was confused.
And that caused you to misunderstand.
Every year the number of firearms per 100,000 in the U.S.of A.
increases.
Every year the number of murders (and gunshot wounds) per 100,000 in
the U.S. of A. decreases.
My apology. I didn't realize you were refering to the total number of
firearms murder in the U.S.A.
Keep in mind that the U.S.A. has a very high non firearms murder rate
compared to other countries. Do you blame that on the presense of
firearms as well?

It was you who referred to "fewer murders with guns every year" and made no
mention of rates. I addressed the claim you made, not the one you wished you
had made.

I don't even know if it is true yet.

Apparently there is a great deal of information you don't care to find
out about.
Too bad you don't bother to do a little research.

And even more apparently you like to make up factoids for your gun-loon
propaganda and pretend you can bluff/bluster your way out of providing
evidence.

And even more of a pity that you didn't - if you had, you would have some
credibility, but as it stands you have none.

You asked for it.
The BATF (USA) reported that there were 4.5 million firearms added to
the numbers of firearm in the U.S.A. every year. They also reported
no correlation (or a negative one) between the civilian firearms
inventory and the firearms death rate.
Not to mention the U.S. Health and Human services has provided
mortality information from 1994 to 2005 showing that the cause of
death from all incidents is dropping slower than the cause of death
from firearms incidents.
For example between 1994 and 2005 child homicide dropped 28.2%, during
that same time the subset of child homicide in firearms incidents
dropped 54.0%
During the same period all homicides dropped 34.5% and the subset of
firearm incident homicides dropped 37.4%
This indicates that there are more firearms per year in the U.S. and
there are fewer firearms homicides.

I just did a little research. It is actual research that uses the raw
of the FBI and gives us a reasonable idea of what is happening in
society.

I'm still waiting for evidence that the firearm murder (or homicide) rate
dropped "every year", which is your original claim.

Cite that "raw of the FBI" so I can see it.
