Mr Boothroyd has been a member of its 15-strong international arbitration
committee for two years, helping settle hundreds of disputes a day.
Last night he admitted what he had done was wrong, but said he had created
the false identity after fellow users discovered his political allegiance,
accusing him of bias.

"Bias"?
David Boothroyd? Heavens forfend!
But I do hope that David resigns as a Westminster Labour councillor. After
vall, with a capacity for self-deception sufficient to enable him to see his
creation of sock-puppets and the deliberate falsification of material as a
mere "innocent oversight", he is Labour Cabinet material at the very least.
If he ever comes back, he'll probably tell us that he stays on as a
councillor and as a Wikipedia admin because he wants to sort out the mess and
that he's getting on with the job.

Nah, can't be!

I've never thought of him as a bad person; but all Socialists carry such a
huge chip on their shoulders that they can justofy to themselves just
about anything. Believe me: I have considerable experience of witnessing
this action over the years...

Oh, yes! I'd certainly prefer to have someone elected in the Cabinet
instead of the PM's acolytes from the Lords or outside Parliament, as has
happened in the recent reshuffle.

Well, of course! As the Gorgon always tells us: it is the one responsible
for creating a mess who is the best one to fix it...
