The unilateral declaration of Kosovan independence, Russia will demand
that the United Nations Security Council and heads of the UN Mission
in Kosovo annul that decision, said Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko, who
represents Russia in the Troika of mediators on the Kosovo problem.

"Russia will certainly demand that such decision be annulled. We can
demand the convening of the Security Council as a Council resolution
would be breached," he told Interfax on Tuesday.

Russia "will demand that the head of the UN Mission in Kosovo annul
this decision as a supreme administrator in the region," the diplomat
said.
