The curse of popularism.
So the BBC is continuing with it's 'have your say program', where
a bunch of illiterate yobos phone-in from Gaza & Kampala to try to
practice their english.

Some feedback from the world's masses is good for democracy,
but since no one would 'pay' to watch me try to play football,
why should I 'pay' to listen to illiterates. Can't BBC amortize
the cost of having some specialist opinion.

Like the German researcher who Radio Netherlands featured,
who exposed how a bulge in 15-30 year old [warrior aged]
males leads to a conflicting society, as demonstrated in Iran,
Kenia -- and Gaza must be a prime example.

A meme that is spread by the journalists who can report
but never analyse, is the increase in wealth diferences in many
societies. The economic explanations are not too difficult to
be explained to the common man, and such knowledge would
in time reduce these differences.

Currently the differences are measured and reported, but reasons are
assumed to be as unknowable, as reasons for different wheat growths
were, in the middle ages before knowledge of photosynthesis,
trace nutrients, genetic ...etc., existed.
