So Cuba is now celebrating it's 50 years of defying the free-market.
They rightly claim having contributed to the destruction of apartheid: the 
system where 'white settlers' could live uncontaminated by the 
Haiti-Congo-Zimbabwe life-style of the natives -- by simple separation.

And Cuba's contribution was in facilitating the Fin Artisahri's [who AFAIK
got the Nobel prise for it] negotiation of S. Afica's relinquishing control of
SWA/Namibia. 

Since I lived through the period, I know that the eg. BBC version of
history is simplistically false, so also I suspect that my interpretation from 
the BBC of how a boy being shot in Greece caused massive rioting and 
destruction [when 600 HIV deaths per day in S.A. goes unnoticed] is 
also simplistically false.   Or what REALLY happened in Georgia ?

The collapse/transformation of S.Africa towards a Haiti-Congo
-Zimbabwe type society, was delayed -- to allow the BIG-money to
 exit -- by the surrounding countries, including Namibia, not yet hosting 
 insurgents.

Once Mocambique fell to the insurgents, it was just a matter of time
before Namibia and Zimbabwe would fall.  Remember the mid 70's
dominoe theory ?

I guess the Israeli situation is similar ?
How can the arabs ever be satisfied when they see the separated
Israelis living better than them ?  The difference in living conditions
MUST be due to unjust Israeli exploitation and oppression.
