Mother Water and My Blue Toys

These were the names of Ian Cohen's earliest and most famous pieces during
his
first years with us.

Circa 94, Simon started a little poetry journal called "The Rag".

Ian contributed to it. I believe these poems were reproduced in "The Rag"

  it would be terrific
if someone could reproduce the pieces here for those who did not know Ian
Cohen.

(How Eerie. Chris Chandler's pieces are in the old Rag as well)

Another memory: Circa 94 or 95, the Roanoke Times did a piece on
Ian who was quoted as saying something like "I am a nonlinear poet". I
clipped the article. Perhaps I can find the copy.

Another memory (shiver):

Talaam Acey and Faraji came through and did the parking lot slam several
years ago. I think it was Labor Day 99.

They did a piece dedicated to Ian. (Shiver). I don't want to say the name
of the piece here. (I am superstitious enough that I just cannot do it)

If I remember correctly, the poem was then reproduced on their CD. Some
may actually have a copy of this.
