RiME Newsletter No. 8
Much has happened over the last few weeks. A quick recap:

1. Nov. 16 APPG Meeting.
2. The NICE Draft guidelines. RiME replied, condemning them by the
deadline
Nov. 24. It will be in the next Newsletter.
3. Other recent publications:
a. The NHS sponsored, 'Occupational Aspects of the Management of CFS...
'
b. The new entry re. ME in a medical textbook used by GPs.
and finally,
c. The much awaited Gibson Inquiry.

RiME got to see the latter Nov. 27. Having skimmed it, I feel it would
be
unwise to try to write a thorough appraisal of it, now, and get
something
out so close to Christmas. The document requires careful examination
and
digestion, followed by pause for reflection. Moreover, parts of
Newsletter
8, already written, will need redrafting because of it.

Accordingly, the Newsletter will be held over till the New Year.

In the meantime, we welcome comments on the Gibson Report.

Merry Christmas from all at RiME.
