Skin So Soft - HELP!!
OK, all you clever people, we've got an Avon catalogue and there's two pages
of Skin so Soft!

Which is the one we want for an insect repellant -

SSS replenishing body lotion,
Fusions Dual Softening Body Moisturiser
or
Replenishing Dry Oil Body Spray

In my Avon days there was one form and none of them look like the container
I used to get mine in!

If Sandra can't come up with the definitive product, why not ring the MoD?
:-)
I think it was the last one on your list.

What kinda person asks about Avon products when there is a great game of
tennis to talk about ???

(That will fall on deaf ears).

Two pages............? there must be more that 3 items then??
Of those, my guess would be the first one.
My Avon book was collected yesterday, so I can't help any more

Quite funny really - I made a comment about someone, which was tongue in
cheek - two people thought it was terrible and kill-filed me. The person I
made the comment about, continues to speak to me.

Just shows that NG's are where intelligent people make friends and 'the
others' make enemies ;-)))

I am waiting patiently to hear if you get it and if it actually does the
job. I have tried all sorts of stuff over the years and the insects seem to
regard it all as some sort of drssing for their food - i.e. me !LOL
Mozzies are a problem here in the summer as well as a further multitude of
flying things I don't even recognise that think I am some sort of extra to
their usual menu. I bought a thing in the supermarket the other day, shaped
like a little tennis racquet and you shove batteries in it and the insects
get deaded on the 'string' things. Numpty Boo decided to switch it on and
then wondered how effective ot was so stuck her finger on the wires. My
goodness, I reckon I could fell a moose with it! Oddly enough there hasn't
been a single fly on our balcony since I bought it, so word must have got
round :-)

My wife says that there is a skin so soft bath oil that will work.
I heard that you can put listerine in a small spray bottle and spray
the area and it will repell mosquitos and other insects.
I haven't tried it so i'm not an authority.

Sheesh there was only one when I was told to get it and that was a bath oil
though they did IIRC bring it out later in a spray. I haven't seen an Avon
catalogue for years so I've no idea which one it would be now but if it was
me I'd stick with the Dry Oil Body Spray.

www.avonshop.co.uk
:)
specifically
http://avonshop.co.uk/shop/product.asp?pf_id=4982&from=search&find_spec=skin%20so%20soft&camp=200811&dir_delivery=1&rep_delivery=1&pagenum=1
if everyone is discussing 'old' avon products, this is the only one I
recognise from when i did avon about 10 years ago, all the others are newer.

I used to have one of those, boo, and it really killed anything I aimed at.
I'm sure the instructions tell you not to put your fingers on the wires when
it's on!!

Thanks Gil's wife ;-))
Will go investigate.
I'm sure it was the bath oil that was the only SSS made when I used it.

That makes me feel better cos that was the state of things when I used to
use it!
Hence my question.
Ray managed to find one of our new neighbours is an Avon lady so asked to
borrow her catalogue.
OK, he needs the SSS but *I* don't need the Avon book arriving regularly,
thank you, cos some of the things last donkey's years and I've a shelf full
of Avon stuff I'm still using after 10 years of no Avon lady!

I think I might suggest he goes for that spray - after all, he *is* a man
and wants the smell to disappear when he comes in from the countryside ;-))

If it's for Ray he might be interested in
http://www.albawest.com/repellents.html . A bit of a fussy page but it gives
advice about repelling the deadly Scottish midge and anything which jbexes
against that will find Cheshire insects a doddle :-)

I can only agree with you about the Scottish midge, it just loves the
English - but only for biting ;-))

Thanks, Sandra, if he hasn't read it by now I'll direct him there.
The trouble is, as that page says, what does for one doesn't necessarily do
for another.
If you're like me you just have to go through them all till one suits you
:-(

One thing I can say about my bleeding brain is that before it all manner of
insects loved to bite me - now I don't seem to taste as nice to them, I'm
not going to open my mouth and say I haven't had a bite since the bleeding
brain - oh! I think I just *have* opened it. Never mind, we'll see if
anything happens to me now ;-))
