Greg Bear.
I think he is excellent. EON, Eternity and Blood Music were real pages
turners. I have yet to read more, but impressed so far. Just thought
I'd mention it.

I found _Eon_ to be great and _Eternity_ to be okay. If you're not aware,
they have a sequel, _Legacy_, that sucks rocks through a garden hose.

You might want to check out _The Forge of God_ and _The Anvil of the
Stars_ if you liked _Eon_ and _Eternity_.

(A note: I see that you've cross-posted to five different groups. This
seems to be relativly on-topic for all of them. However, due to a recent
attack, most people in rec.arts.sf.written have *all* cross-posted
articles kill-filed, so you won't see many responses from here.)
