Satellite 1 is a one day convention being held in Glasgow to
commemorate 50 years since the Space Age dawned with the launching of
Sputnik 1. There will be panels on science (what has been achieved and
where do we go from here?) and on science fiction (how did man
actually making steps into space affect SF, and what does the future
hold?), fun panels and serious panels. The day will be rounded off
with a Dead Laika Party and quiz.
