The following announcement appeared on the front page of the Convoy 
website on Tuesday morning or shortly before. It has been reported on 
a number of Livejournals and other websites, but apparently not here 
so far:

The committee of the 2007 Eastercon regrets to announce that Convoy 
cannot now be held at the Adelphi, and that membership fees will be 
reimbursed by the beginning of December 2006 to those who had joined 
the convention.

So far as I am aware, no more details of the reasons for the 
cancellation are available, though a number of online discussions seem 
to be ongoing about possible partial replacements for Convoy.
