Royal Marines TV Series ? ?Commando - On the Front Line?
Royal Marines TV Series – ‘Commando - On the Front Line’

Award winning documentary maker Chris Terrill has been given
unprecedented access to Royal Marines training at the Commando
Training Centre in Lympstone, and on the front line with 42 Commando
in Afghanistan. He has documented the personal journey of young men
aspiring to earn the coveted Green Beret through Commando training,
and for those that succeed, their experiences in Helmand province,
Afghanistan, on operations.

In his normal style, Chris Terrill embedded fully within 924 recruit
troop observing the vast majority of the training and, at the ripe old
age of 55, conducted and completed all of the Commando tests with the
troop, earning himself an “honorary” Green Beret. The real stars,
however, are the recruits as they experience the rigours of Commando
training, the highs and lows both physically and mentally with the
ultimate aim of joining their comrades in the war torn province of
Helmand.

The first episode of the series airs on ITV1 on Thursday 20 September
at 9pm and then for the subsequent 7 Thursdays on ITV1 at 10pm.
