I saw a clock somewhere which would be great for somebody with sight problems. It was rectangular. Around 8-10" across. 6" down. It had large numerals and also had the date. It was very visible and has anybody seen one of these please? I've checked out RNIB no luck. temprance. --

Try a quick google for 'LCD radio clock' Maplins do one for £20, very similar to the one that I've had on my desk since just before 2000 That's about 8-9 inches square. Acctim also used to do a wall/shelf LCD clock, but I have a sneaking suspicion they've stopped doing the particular model I'm thinking of. I did see one available at Discount Office Supplies for just £13.99 - I paid about £25 for that one. :-( -- Si Hoc Legere Scis Nimium Eruditionis Habes the dot wanderer at tesco dot net

Cost about £5.00. If cost isn't a problem how about a lazer light projection clock - image as large as you like.
