Driving Assessment Query
My neighbour who has Motor Neurone Disease went for a driving assessment
today and failed the driving test. They said his response was too slow.

He regularly drives a motability Polo automatic, slightly adapted with a
foot rest alongside of the brake so he can slide his foot across quickly.

The test car was a focus without any adaptation, so I was not surprised at
the outcome. I have suggested that he appeals against this driving decision
and asks for a re-test in his own car.

Does anyone have any experience of a situation like this and what might be
the first move. Obviously he will have to wait for the official report to
arrive to see what the details are.

Best regards all.
