Blogs
I find it hard to remember to keep a diary so maybe I should strt a
blog. Could be quite boring and also offensive to "important people"
Social workers etc. Might make me feel better to have a rant.
I know very little about blogs so what do people think.

If it helps as a kind of therapy then go for it. Pwesonally, I'm not one
for putting my thoughts down for others to read, I think I'd be too boring.
In truth, I've never gone looking to read others' blogs, and I've only ever
come across one blog that I feel compelled to revisit and read some more,
and that was as a result of a link posted in another group (look for the
story about the shower). This young lady is highly entertaining and
delightfully literate.

If you run a blog, you become a publisher, and liable for every
little thing somebody could interprete as "actionable".
I'd stick to newsgroups for day to day interactions, where what you
post is less vunerable to legal action, even though various terms and
conditions, laws in various countries, etc. still apply.
For diary purposes, a much better option IMO would be to start your
own webpages, and make sure you have a disclaimer on each page
stating that everything is "In your opinion" and "based on my
experience" and so on.
Webpages are not that difficult to make either. Once you have a page
design you like (and that works properly), you can simply copy it as
your next page whenever you need one.

www.w3.org
Plus, there are many "how-to" pages you can search for on webpage
design and construction.
One thing I have noticed is that people who are known to keep online
diaries tend to get better treatment from service providers. This
isn't guaranteed, its just something I've noticed over the years. It
might be worth considering, even as just a hobby? ;)
