What motivated institutions to declassify homosexuality as a disability?
Nowadays, homosexuality isn't officially seen as a disability or
psychiatric disorder even though it is only after the 1990s that
homosexuality was declassified by the World Health Organisation as a
2mental illness".

What motivated the change in thinking? Was it down to gay pressure
groups, impartial academics?

Thanks for your input.

Could be down to societies changing so there is more acceptance of the
issue.
