Wounded Iraq veterans driven out of public pool when told they might scare children
Soldiers who suffered appalling injuries in Iraq and Afghanistan were
verbally abused as they swam in a public swimming pool.

Makes me ashamed to be British, and a human being.

What bearing does that have on the behaviour of these women?

Perhaps the Telegraph suits you better?

Glad you are ashamed to be British and a human being.
Not sure what relevance that has though - whether its because you
agree with the comments about the veterans, or its because you
disagree with the comments about the veterans.

Can you clarify?

As for the veterans, I've no problem with them using the pool for
rehab. Many non-forces disabled people have used many local pools over
the years for exactly the same thing.
Can't recall anyone complaining about our surgical scars, missing
limbs, burns, growths or whatever. People might stare, but thats the
worst reaction I've come across.

I could not believe people can be so disgusting. Those women should be
brought to task.

I am appalled by the treatment of the veterans (and would be equally
appalled if they had been disabled but not veterans) and by the example set
by the adults, who are reported to have heckled and jeered, to the children
present.

"Those that I fight I do not hate,
Those that I guard I do not love"...

Wish I could say I'm surprised, but nothing about the Great British
Public surprises me anymore...
