Beau (from John Peel’s Dandelion label) - “Samarra Song” on YouTube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVuxFFS7X6g

Hindus call it “dharma”; my mother called it “fate”. Doris Day sang
“Que, Sera Sera” in the movie “The Man Who Knew Too Much”. They all
mean the same thing - “What will be, will be”.

“Samarra Song” was recorded in and about a time when Baghdad was a
beautiful city out there in the desert, and Samarra just a small town
about sixty miles to the northwest.

This recovered and restored 1982 video is imperfect, and I apologise
in advance for the quality of both the sound and video. But I do like
the performance, played – rarely for me! – on a 1930s Cesar Pasquato
classical guitar.
