Help needed (musicians or info- Leeds/York)
Apologies in advance for a long post:-

Have agreed to play a small venue on Saturday September 8th - (approx 150
people - village hall with stage).
6 bands on the bill - of which my (our?)band is 2nd top. The gig is being
recorded by the engineers who are supplying the following P.A.

1 Pair JBL JRX115 250w midrange speakers (stand mounted)
1 Pair Wharfedale Pro Twin 15-X Subwoofers (floor standing)
1 x Behringer EP2500 poweramp to power bass bins
1 x Crown XLS402 poweramp to power midrange speakers
1 x Crown XLS402 poweramp to power drum fill
2 x Wharfedale powered monitors
1 x Wharfedale slave monitor
1 x Wharfedale EVP-X for drum fill
1 x 31 band Graphic Equaliser
1 x Behringer Super-X pro Crossover unit
1 x Peavey 18 track Mixing Desk
2 x Compressor/Gate unit (8 channels in all)
1 x Vocal effects unit
All necessary microphones (Shure SM58)/ stands for vocal and instrument
application inc5 piece drum kit microphone set
1 x 12 - 4 multicore stage box if required,
3 DI boxes, if required.

Here's my problem - need to do a 30-45 min set comprising of 'classic rock'
(for want of a better term)
Which most likely will include:

London Calling
Jumping Jack Flash
Get Your Rocks Off
One Way Or Another (Blondie) - with guest female vocalist
Get it On/Cigarettes and Alcohol
You Really Got Me
Wild Horses
Sympathy For The Devil ++++++
(You get the picture!)

But - for various reasons (including a terminal illness, holidays, divorce)
I am without a (wait for it.....)

Drummer, Bass Player, Lead Vocalist, 2nd Guitar - i.e. there is just me and
the keyboard player left!

If you know of anyone (or are interested yourself) and are in the
Leeds/York/Wetherby area please pass on/reply to these details.
I would be looking to rehearse possibly 3 times before the date - with keys
& arrangements being sorted out via CD/Email beforehand.

Alternatively, if you know of a band in that rough who are already together
and perhaps wouldn't mind me sitting in for a night this would be helpful
too!

Any help/guidance/suggestions gratefully rec'd..........it's well organised,
beer is free, responsible/ sober roadies on hand + women of a certain age to
bond with. - Will be a good night.

Nick can email me on:- nickbrown at btinternet dot com
