Good to see the Guardians of the Peace are doing their job
"Police in riot gear broke up a three day illegal rave in an ancient
woodland in Monmouthshire."

"Police were alerted on Saturday night by local residents who heard
music coming from the forest."

Holy Mother of God! People playing music in the forest!! What manner of
evil is going on - we must prevent this at any cost!! I heard some
people were seen grinning, and there were even whoops of joy. Fair makes
my blood boil to think of these young larrikins enjoying a sunny Easter.

"Upwards of 250 police officers were involved in the operation"

I don't know how much police cost, but even if they're only £100 a day
they spent at least £25,000 making sure 3000 people didn't dance to
repetitive beats. Much better use of police time, money and equipment
than say, trying to find something for young people to do that might
make them less inclined to stab each other.

How the fuck do they justify such an extravagant misuse of manpower and
machinery to prevent something that's no more disturbing than your
average Saturday football game? Something's seriously screwed up in this
country.
