Bigup Jon Gomm
Saw Jon last night at the Porter Cellar bar in Bath. Stunning would be
an understatement! His playing and singing have grown in confidence,
style and flair since I last saw him a couple of years back.
The tracks from his new CD were great and really show how talented a
player he is. Being the consummate professional he went on despite
feeling like sh*te and gave a brilliant performance. The banter was
superb and thoroughly entertaining. If you've not caught him on tour,
then just where the hell have you been?!??!

there's no excuses!

Shit, shit, shit, bugger, arse....
I was talking to a mate this week about Jon and we both agreed that if he
was gigging anywhere near here we'd go.
Didn't know he was on in Bath this week.
Should have checked his website.
/slaps wrist, hard.

Damn! I meant to go to that gig but we suffered a major Mother-in-Law
attack yesterday afternoon and all bets were off for the evening.
Bummer.
I want to talk to Jon about the RMMGA meeting next march...
Did the gig sell well? I hope so.

(P.S. Sam Ashdown, Assembly Rooms, Glastonbury, Tuesday next week.
Playing a bit of Bach & some Spanish stuff, supporting an acoustic
girlie who's name I have forgotten. Nice guy - excellent player - did
a set for us at Hargate last year which was a knockout.)
P.P.S. How many of us are within fighting distance of Bristol? We
really ought to get our shit together down here).
