I have done this for past couple of years. I have even smaller
foldable, pocket-sized, Maxview speakers that take just 3 x AAA batts
and I output my BOSS ME5 to them ! For extra grunt, I just stick my
Wah Wah in line as a signal boost. Would need to mic it up for a Gig
though...
