Buxton Accomodation v3.0
No big deal but something that cropped up yesterday whilst adding yet
another room to the bookings.

The Buckingham Hotel only has one single room. I have made (confirmed)
bookings for 4.
The "single room rate" is actually for single occupancy of a double or twin
room.
So, with the exception of one poor soul who gets the lone single, you're
odds on to have a bit more room than you expected

This has been another public service announcement on behalf of the UKMG
Travel With Accomodation Team.
:-)

Reminds me of the time that I suggested that we offered "Specialised
High-Intensity Training" to all of our staff... The initial proposal
was accepted until we started abbreviating it :-)

Apparently the customer service arm of a (now-defunct) computer company
was briefly called Wang Care...

And with good reason. Wangs used to get a lot of abuse. Especially
in Sales offices, for some reason.

Reminiscent of the PA ('Tannoy') system at the union building when I was at
Uni: "Message for Mr. Swipe, Mr. R. Swipe" etc.

Worked for a company who had a Romanian geezer with the surname Copilet.
He was a bit of an arse generally but used to get really upset when the
Tannoy system announced a "Call for Mr Copulate"....
