Line 6 Flextone III
As the local "gear-magnet", I got a tip-off about this 2 x 12" modelling
combo.

18 months old - £450+ new........, picked it up for £175.

Any other users out there?

Hi,
I use a flextone 3 for rehearsals. I think it sounds great so long as the
volume is kept reasonable. Really simple to use just adjust the knobs like
another amp and hold the patch button to save. With the fbv express or midi
you can have 4 patches stored, with one of the larger line6 you can store
more (128??)

Does it come with a pedal at that price?
Might be worth keepin an eye on ebay - I bought mine with an fbv express
pedal and cover for £150 in pretty much new condition, but maybe I was
lucky?

Either way I really like it (btw my normal gigging amps are mesa triple rec
or a fender twin and I'd happily use the flextone if one of the others had a
problem).

Cheers

Hi John,

Think you got a good price - there doesn't seem to many of them on eBay
(unless I'm searching incorrectly) I downloaded some of the sounds from the
Line 6 site and will be having a bash with the midi/usb. Any recommended
tones from their site? (or any that you'd like to email me with?) ;-)

Hi Nick,

Unlike the X3L and amp farm etc - I haven't tried using the flextone with a
pc - I just tweak it like a regular amp and store the sounds I want.

How are you finding connecting it? Is it as straight forward as using the
usb and gearbox is with the X3L etc?
Might be a useful idea to start saving a set of typcial patches I'd use with
each band then load them in before setting off.... unless it's a complete
faff.
Do you get access to some of the other parameters for fine tuning the
effects?

Cheers
John
