*** Manglement - Buxton backline ***
Hi,

Runci and I met yesterday and had a brief chat about the PA and backline
for Buxton. I know we are never short of offers for cool gear, but to be
clear, here is the rough list of requirements:

Two bass rigs[1]
Three guitar rigs (two standard beasts and probably a Vox)
One acoustic rig[2]
One set of Roland V-Drums (already sourced)
One back-up acoustic kit[3]
One set of acoustic drum mikes plus stands
Keyboard rigs (number unknown as ... well, you know how this works)
Three vocal mikes and stands

Lights are courtesy of Ian R.

In my vague imaginings, I would guess that Paul C and Mike E will come
up with tasty bass rigs. Trev will supply all sorts of Tiptonated ear
melting, Nick B might bring something cool if he can fit Wren in the
cabinet and George might turn out a Vox. Chris Bolus is always good for
drum mikes, and the acoustic kit is already sourced via the drummer du
jour. These are wild assumptions, of course! In any case, there is
plenty of room in the venue to pile up amps if you have something tasty
you want to show to your friends.

Footnotes
1. There will also be a Trace Elliot bass combo because whatever is in
Ian R's van is coming to Buxton anyway!
2. More acoustic amps will be needed for the acoustic set (roughly 2-3
total), and we may also run the acoustic combo shootout that was tabled
for last year.
3. In case V-Drum Man cancels.

Nige.

I volunteer my late-sixties, hand-wired, silver-Celestion, Kent-built
Vox, unless George is particularly eager to bring his.

I shall be exceedingly happy for you to lug yours, Jim but mine is on
standby if needs be.

Nige,

I'm happy to bring my rig as detailed at http://www.rossedwards.net/top-gear/amps-and-fx/
- if that's any help? If there's a 4x12" cab available elsewhere it
would save me lugging the 2x12" in my asthmatic 106 diesel... :-)

Don't forget to take it off standby when you want to play!

Real Voxes don't have stand-by switches.

You're welcome to use my Marshall acoustic combo (50W). I'm pretty sure
I'm going to be there this year.
