Whatever happened to........ Lone Star?
hi all,
through the wonders of ebay I recently acquired a CD version of two
albums I owned in the 70's. The albums now on one CD are Lone Star
and Firing On All Six. Whatever happened to these guys? She Said and
The Ballad Of Crafty Jack are absolutely cracking rock songs. (albeit
SS is a cover of a Beatles song - they never made it sound like Lone
Star do) There's not much info about them on t'interweb either.

cheers for now

Well, that CD is currently available on Amazon, so someone must be
interested and rummaging through the archives :)

They sounded familiar, so I had a Google around. Like you say, not much out
there. Even the Wikipedia entry is very limited.

Took me a while to spot the connection before Lone Star and UFO ...

Yeah, didn't the guitar player Paul(?) Chapman join UFO after
Schenker?
I have quite a few post-Schenker UFO albums............good guitar
player.
My mate just transfered an old clip of "The Tube" onto a dvd. UFO with
Chapman, Way and Carter (? what was his first name) all playing
Washburn A10's....awesome!!! I'd had one for about a year. They
obviously got given theirs.........I'd had to buy mine, still got it,
canary yellow, still fantastic to play!
